Circle introduces she loves tech all over Pakistan. A global start-up competition launched in may 2017.
The ensuing rush to apply to this contest was not surprising: this is the first ever global startup competition that supports women technopreneurs and technology for women.
The top 4 startup applicants will receive mentoring and financial modeling support from seasoned industry experts, while the winner will go to Beijing this September to compete in the global round against teams from China, Canada, Germany, Singapore, HongKong, and Indonesia.
CIRCLE has partnered with Lakson Investments and Hybrid to pull off this first-of-its-kind entrepreneurial event.
Founder CIRCLE Sadaffe Abid introduces she loves tech at different cities of the country. From, Plan9 in Lahore to IBA, Nest i/o and NED in Karachi, sparking interest in this novel competition wherever she went. Tech experts such as Maria Umer (Founder Women’s Digital League), Kalsoom Lakhani (Founder Invest2Innovate), Madeeha Omer (Marketing Manager, IBM) and Jehan Ara (President P@SHA) rallied with CIRCLE in encouraging tech startups to apply to this challenging yet exciting competition.
It is a mark of how fascinated Pakistan’s tech industry is by She Loves Tech that CIRCLE has received more than 80 startup applications!
Demo Day, is being organized by CIRCLE at The NEST I/O on 13th July/Thursday from 4 to 6 pm.
On Demo Day, not only are tech veterans such as RazaMatin (Google),Humayun Bashir (Former CEO IBM) and Samara Faisal (tech professional with experience in AI, cloud computing and investments) going to mentor all She Loves Tech applicants, but CIRCLE will also be announcing the Top 10 shortlisted applicants who will go on to compete in the Pakistan final round in August.
