Wassup laundary – an on-demand laundry and dry cleaning startup – has acquired its rival Doormint. Many experts believe this transaction has given boost to the online growing business of Wassup.
With this deal,
Kalaari Capital and Helion Ven, who co held an investment of $3million dollars in Doormint back in April 2015, will receive shares in Wassup.
While explaining the potential of Wassup to a publication, Founder Durga Das said, “Wassup has a solid business model that is capable of scaling to be the market leader in this space. We are happy to welcome Kalaari and Helion as part of our team and believe that they can add a lot of value in our journey to be the market leader.”
With its inception in 2011, this Chennai-based company has gone through multiple acquisitions most notably Hyderabad based startup Ezeewash buyout. The business model is just one click away and has proven to be a phenomenal success in India.
With the short span of time it is serving more than 45 stores across 7 seven cities and serving half-million of customer case.
